What Can I Do To Reduce My Bounce Rate? The...
Link building is still a significant factor in how Google ranks websites. Google itself says that generally websites can improve their rankings by increasing the number of quality sites that link back to their pages. When the largest and most powerful search engine on the planet suggests an SEO strategy, you should sit up and take notice.
Wouldn’t it be great if the link building process could be automated? While there is no way to click a button and have hundreds of links suddenly appear on other sites, there are steps you can take to help boost the number of links to your site that appear on other sites. This isn’t a one step process and it takes time, but in the end it is definitely worth it.
The way that link building works in translating to higher rankings is that your site must bring in traffic from more outside links on high quality sites than your competitors. The quality of these outside sites matters. If your traffic comes from 100 low-quality outside sources, but your competitor gets traffic from 50 high quality sources that even though they have less traffic than you, they will rank higher because of the quality of their backlinks.
This example is to show that automating back links may not necessarily help raise the ranking of your site. There has to be some type of strategy behind backlinking. You should seek out reputable sites with great content and a strong reader base. These are the type of sites you want to be associated with.
This isn’t to say that the link building process can’t be “automated”. How do you start an automated link building process? You create something great!
When you create something, whether it be copy or a product, that people have a positive response to you will naturally ignite backlinking. For example, if you post a video on your site of something extraordinary that nobody’s ever seen before, everyone will want to share it on their own sites and with their friends on social media. People will then have to visit your site to see what everyone is talking about.
Of course, this won’t happen overnight. There is a lot of planning and hard work that goes into creating products and content that get people talking, but if you focus on those methods of linkbuilding, the process will happen naturally.
It is highly recommended that you make a habit of consistently adding new information to your site. This can happen through a newsletter that appears on your site weekly or monthly. It can also happen through a blog that is frequently updated.
Even if you have the best content or the best product in your niche, you still need to continue to remind people of this to keep them coming to your site. You don’t want your linkbuilding to get stale. You always want there to be new content that people are eager to share. This will keep the natural linkbuilding to your site alive.
